My research interests lie in metamorphic petrology and petrochronology, with a particular focus on understanding the temporal and thermal evolution of the lower continental crust. By integrating thermodynamic modelling, U–Pb zircon and monazite geochronology, Lu–Hf garnet geochronology, trace element geochemistry, and microstructural analyses, I seek to unravel the tectonothermal evolution of the Eastern Ghats Province, a classic Precambrian granulite terrane exposed along the eastern margin of India.
Through an integrated petrochronological approach, my research aims to evaluate competing geodynamic models proposed for the Eastern Ghats Province. More broadly, I am interested in understanding the mechanisms that govern lower crustal evolution and the preservation of (ultra)high-temperature metamorphic conditions, as well as their implications for the assembly, reworking, and dispersal of Precambrian supercontinents, especially Rodinia and Gondwana.
