Golden Arduino

The main purpose of this design is to reduce the noise which is observed on the commercial Arduino boards by implementing best design and measurement practices. The created Golden Arduino board has lesser switching noise and near field emissions. 

Hex inverter 

The purpose of this board is to understand how layout decisions influence the amount of switching noise and the best measurement practices for measuring switching noise in a PCB. The board consists of two identical hex circuits driven by the 555 timer. The 'good' layout includes a continuous return plane while the in the 'bad' layout, mistakes are made purposefully to analyze the difference.

555 Timer Board

The goal of this project was to provide us with a chance to become familiar with the entire board design flow and process with a simple, functional design. Along with this, we got an opportunity to practice manual SMT assembly.
