RANGA BHAT & GEETHA BHAT  MEMORIAL MERIT AWARDS


Sri. Ranga Bhat S/O Krishna Bhat & Deveki Bhat assiduously followed his father's example in the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden. He was initiator of Anugraha Charitable Trust and Ashray Charitable Society. Sri. Ranga Bhat and wife Smt. Geetha Bhat together did yeoman service to the society through their humanitarian work of providing help to needy and distressed, solace to terminally ill, clothes to the aged, educational kits to the students, basketful of groceries to thousands annually, etc.

Memory of the duo shall remain intense and continue to inspire us to carry on their unfinished work of bringing hope and solace to our hapless brethren.

S PRABHAKAR PRABHU MERIT AWARDS FOR CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS


S.Prabhakar Prabhu was a doyen in his professional and social career. An outstanding  personality and founder partner of M/s Varma & Varma Chartered Accountants, he guided many students to follow the highest ethical principles as qualified Auditors.  

He was a patron of Anugraha Charitable Trust, President of Sree Sudheendra Medical Mission, Sukrtindra Oriental Research Institute, Sree Kulavedatha Mandir Complex, Executor of Dr Narmada – Dayanand Endowment Schemes and has contributed a lot for the growth of many other GSB institutions and initiated several projects for poor and needy.

The award is instituted by Smt Savitha Prabhakar Prabhu.

DR. LATHA ANANTHA  MEMORIAL AWARD


A PhD in Agriculture, Dr.Latha devoted her life for protection of Nature and environment. She advocated that rivers are the blood vessels of nature and they must be kept flowing unhindered to preserve nature, its inhabitants, flora, and fauna. She was instrumental in convincing central government against Athirappally Dam Project. In the forefront of Chalakkudy River Protection Forum. she educated Kader community on their rights to the forest. She was honoured with Bhageerath Prayas Samman, Prakrithi Mitra Award etc.and had presented a number of note-worthy papers in international forums. She, along with like minded people set up a River Research Centre of which she was Director till her untimely demise.


A cash award of Rs.5000/- to a member of GSB Samaj belonging to Kerala for:


Outstanding contributions to protection of Nature and Environment

OR

Has secured Ph.D in Agriculture, water resource management etc,

OR

Secured highest marks in Degree Examination held in the academic year

2020-21 with Agriculture and/or related subjects.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should belong to GSB Community

Applicants should have passed Xth Class Examinations of the concerned Board  ( SSLC / CBSC / ICSE / HSE ) in the first attempt

Applicants should have passed from Centers in ERNAKULAM District in 2021
