I completed my graduation from Banasthali Vidyapith (Gold medallist, first rank holder) in 2014 and postgraduation in Chemistry (Gold medallist, first rank holder) in 2019 from Central University of Gujarat, India. I joined a PhD program at the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, in 2020, where I worked under the guidance of Dr. Biswarup Chakraborty as a Prime Minister’s Research Fellow. I completed my PhD in 2025, which was based on "Deciphering Structure-Activity Correlation in Bimetallic Oxide Catalysts During Electrochemical Water Splitting.
Currently, I work as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sorbonne Université (Pierre and Marie Curie campus of the Faculté des Sciences et Ingénierie de Sorbonne Université), Paris.
Dr. Biswarup Chakraborty received his B.Sc. in Chemistry (2004-2007) from Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur (University of Calcutta) and an integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. course (2007-2009) from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS, Kolkata). After five years of postdoctoral research at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel and Technical University of Berlin, Germany, he joined the faculty in the department of chemistry, IIT Delhi, in 2020, and is currently an Associate Professor. Dr. Biswarup Chakraborty's group focuses on the electrocatalytic/photocatalytic transformations like water splitting, CO2 reduction, NOx reduction, NH3 oxidation, organo-electrocatalysis, and polyoxometalate chemistry.
Marc Robert gained his Ph.D. in 1995 from Paris Diderot University (now Université Paris Cité) under the guidance of Claude Andrieux and Jean-Michel Savéant. After a postdoctoral stay at Ohio State University (USA) with Matthew Platz, he joined the faculty at Paris Diderot University as Associate Professor (1997). He joined Sorbonne Université in the summer of 2024 as Distinguished Professor.
M. Robert was awarded the first International Prize Essential Molecules Challenge fromAir Liquide (2016), a French National Innovation Prize (2021) and the Senior Researcher Prize from the French Chemical Society (Physical Chemistry division, 2022). In March 2024, he received the International Prize of the Society for the Coordination Chemistry of Japan, and he has been recently listed as a Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Chemistry (2023, 2025). He received the Silver medal from CNRS in April 2026. Since November 2020, he is the CSO of Carboneo, a start-up company that aims to develop CO2 electrolyzers.
Marc is also an International Advisory Board member at Angewandte Chemie International Edition, ChemSusChem (Wiley), Artificial Photosynthesis and ACS Electrochemistry (ACS).
