End sexual harassment and sexual assault at the Australian National University (ANU)
I call on the ANU leadership – the Council and University Executive - to take meaningful and urgent action to end sexual harassment and sexual assault in the ANU community.
Currently ANU students experience sexual harassment and sexual assault at higher rates compared to most Australian universities, or the general public.
The ANU should be a safe and respectful place for students to learn, live and work. Violence has no place in the ANU community.
As the national university, the ANU should be national leader in ending sexual violence.
The ANU can take meaningful action to end sexual harassment and sexual assault by working collaboratively with students, staff, experts and service providers as part of a comprehensive, whole-of-university approach.
I call on the ANU leadership to take meaningful and urgent action to ensure students and staff can learn, live and work in a safe and respectful environment.
