TO WIN
Jokes aside, participating in FTC and FRC offers a genuine and transformative experience that blends engineering and non-engineering skills, preparing high school students like us for real-world challenges. As part of this journey, we tackle every aspect of creating a competitive robot for that season's game. From brainstorming and CAD design to hands-on building and precision programming, we hone our technical expertise while working under tight deadlines and constraints. Beyond the robot itself, we engage in crucial non-engineering tasks like fundraising, managing budgets, and connecting with local businesses and sponsors to secure the resources we need.
Being high school students, this experience also becomes a unique learning environment where we balance academics with our passion for robotics, testing our time management and resilience. As a team, we develop critical skills like collaboration, leadership, and strategic thinking, all while embracing the spirit of gracious professionalism and competition. FTC challenges us not just to create a functional robot but to build a community, a vision, and a legacy—skills and memories that will stick with us long after high school.
