Senate District 16
NM Senate District 16 is located in Albuquerque's SE Heights. It includes much of Albuquerque's SE Heights, parts of the NE heights including neighborhoods near UNM, Kirtland Air Force Base and historic Central Avenue from Buena Vista to Louisiana. The neighborhoods and schools in the district are historic. Much of the area developed in the 30’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. There is quite a lot of diversity in housing options for families. The area has undergone much change. Many families who live there are multi-generational. The landscaping is developed and has large lush trees with many parks, schools, and established neighborhoods.
