This one almost blew by me.
Antoine Ellis was killed by gunfire on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012. He was one of several young men killed that week, as an alleged war has broken out between the Bloods and the Black Guerrilla Family regarding Baltimore City drug turf. I did notice that the address his body was found was near Leakin Park but I could not confirm whether Mr. Ellis was found in the park or not. Finally, days later the City Paper confirmed that Mr. Ellis was standing by a bench at a baseball field in the 2000 block of North Forest Park Avenue when he was gunned down.
According to Mr. Antoine Ellis's criminal history he has no less than 7 entries for possession and distribution of controlled substances, but no violent criminal history involving guns, assaults, robberies, murders or even loitering. No traffic offense, no paternity cases, no contractual disputes, not any trouble with any landlords.
