Climate change and European intervention
I'm a PhD student (expected date of defense : November 2024) in economics at BETA (UMR CNRS). I am under the direction of Amélie Barbier-Gauchard (BETA) and Samuel Ligonnière (BETA).
I'm also a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Management (University of Strasbourg). I mainly teach macroeconomics tutorials in Licence 1 and 2. I also teach a Master 2 course on climate change and the intervention of European institutions.
My research focuses on the political economy of climate change. I'm interested in European policies and institutions and how they can contribute to financing the ecological transition. I have mainly worked on the climate action of the European Central Bank, the European Investment Bank and the European Structural Funds. In terms of methodology, I use panel data econometrics, spatial econometrics and textual analysis methods such as NLP.
In 2023, I did a research internship at the Joint Research Center (European Commission). I joined the Clean Air and Climate Unit (C5) in Ispra, Italy. I mainly worked on updating estimates of air pollutant emissions in the small combustion sector in the European Union.
