We are a group of six students who critically acclaimed/criticize the actions of the government regarding the known Anti-Drugs Campaign - War on Drugs of current President Rodrigo Duterte (2016)
We know that the use of illegal drugs by people is circulating. So our group is promoting the end of its use, because drugs are harmful to both physical and mental health. Drugs are dangerous, it can threaten our life. We should avoid this as soon as possible because it can destroy our minds, and it can also affect the people around us. It really has a bad effect in which it can trigger our life. Your body is affected by different types of drugs in different ways, and the effects associated with drugs can vary from person to person.
How an individual's drug effects depends on a variety of variables, including body size, general health, the amount and strength of the drug, and whether any other drugs are simultaneously in the system. It is important to bear in mind that illegal drugs are not controlled substances, so quality and strength can vary from batch to batch. Drugs can have effects in the short and long term. Such effects can be psychological and physical, and can include dependency.
Now, we are going to talk about the Anti-Drugs Campaign done by the Government of Republic of the Philippines. It was effective but they failed on executing it rightfully. Human Rights and other laws were violated during the said campaign. Drug on war was known even outside the nation and was labeled as an act of Extra Judicial Killings by the higher up. Along aside the campaign was the never ending incidents of "riding-in-tandem" which was considered as the killers of the suspects on our Anti-Drugs Campaign. There are also some cases of the surrendered suspects that were killed inside the prison and on the watch of the police. Thus, some of the people of the Philippines are now distrusted the military forces and the government itself.
I must say that the Campaign for Anti-Drugs of the Philippines can be considered as worthwhile and practical. The numbers of drug users in our country rapidly decreased and that’s all thanks to the government of the Philippines. The campaign that was lead by former PNP Chief Ronald "bato" Dela Rosa is obviously successful and effective. Our country even got to the list of safest country in the world. To be subjective enough, Anti-Drugs Campaign was not even perfect. An issue arises from time-to-time due to the rights that they said was infringed, well partly that's true but the campaign itself is a success.
