Dame Kathleen Ollerenshaw Workshop
Algebra and Number Theory in Conversation
University of Manchester, 11-15 September 2023
A workshop on current and future interactions between Number Theory and the Representation Theory of Finite Groups, with the aim of bringing together researchers in these different areas.
The workshop will feature a series of survey talks on the Langlands programme aimed at algebraists, as well as surveys on the representation theory of finite groups, in particular of Lie type. There will also be research talks and some shorter contributed talks. Arrival will be on Sunday 10th September, the workshop will start in the morning on Monday 11th September and finish around noon on Friday 15th September.
