Welcome to Privacy Shield: App Monitor. Your privacy is our mission. Unlike traditional security apps, we function as a transparent Privacy Dashboard and Permission Manager to help you understand and control how other applications access your data.

Our Privacy Commitment:

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
We do not collect or store the content of your photos, videos, or audio recordings.
Your privacy logs and audit history stay locally on your device.

1. Sensitive Permissions & Usage

To provide real-time monitoring and security auditing, our app requires access to specific system functions. We use these strictly for the following purposes:

Accessibility Service (Core Functionality)

We use the Accessibility Service to detect when an application moves to the foreground and attempts to access your device’s hardware sensors (Camera or Microphone). This allows us to provide real-time "Privacy Dots" and attribution alerts.

Data Handling: We do NOT record your screen, track your keystrokes, or observe your private interactions. We only identify the "Package Name" of the active app to tell you who is using your sensors.

Location Access

We monitor location-access events to log when other apps are tracking your GPS coordinates in the background, allowing you to audit your location privacy.

Query All Packages

This permission allows our App Auditor to scan all installed apps to calculate their Privacy Grade and identify "Hidden Apps" that may be operating without a launcher icon.

2. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage

Your Real-Time logs, Permission History, and Privacy Audit results are stored in a secure database inside your phone. This data is never uploaded to our servers.

Security Measures

We provide a built-in Biometric Lock feature. We highly recommend enabling this to prevent unauthorized users from viewing your privacy logs if they have physical access to your phone.

3. Third-Party Services

To ensure app stability and manage your PRO subscription, we integrate with limited Google services:

Firebase Crash analytics: Collects anonymous crash reports and basic usage events (e.g., "Scan Completed") to help us fix bugs.
Google Play Billing: Processes your premium subscription. We only receive an anonymized token to verify your PRO status.

4. Children’s Privacy

Privacy Shield: App Monitor is a general audience app and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
