This project I went to google news to look and find three examples of cybersecurity attacks and share them on here.

The Works UK Ransomware.

In the UK TheWorks have had to shut down stores because of a Ransomware attack on their business. These attacks had effected their business, they had to close 5 of its stores which made them loss tons in profits. Ways to prevent ransomware, do not click unknown or unsafe links, do not open suspicious emails use VPN on public Wi-Fi's.

Walmart saved $4M from scam victims.

The U.S. has a major problem with internet fraud. people from other countries scam call people and charge them for dumb reasons. As people learn about these they can notice a scam called or scam virus pop-ups. But there are still people who fall for these scams and they but gift cards to give to the scammers as payment. Technology developed by Walmart helped identify and freeze nearly $4M in gift cards that had been bought by thousands of primarily elderly victims at the direction of con artists who duped them. Ways to stop this is verify these false calls from scammers, learn about your computer to tell apart the fake virus pop-ups. The main giveaway is if they want payments thru gift cards, no company will ever ask payment through gift card for a service.

Chinese hackers target India's power grid.

These hacker launched a cyberattacked on India's power grid. These affected everyone in the areas attacked and affect the government as it showed their cybersecurity was vulnerable. Now that countries can launch cyber wars on each other if an attack like this on a bigger scale happens it could be a fall of a nation. These countries new to add funding to protect their Cybernet, add good encryptions and have personal monitoring important facilities connected to the Cybernet.
