02/23/2019 Congratulations!!! Dr. Kim's research proposal titled as "Development of Nano-Gap Based 2D Neuron-Synaptic Devices for Neuromorphic Computing" is finally accepted to be supported by the NRF (National Research Foundation) of Korea. The research project will be funded ~$200K/year for 5 years. (2022. 03 ~ 2027. 02) Our research team will develop a new concept of neuron-synaptic devices to advance to a new phase of neuromorphic computing chip technology!!

Min Gi's 2nd publication about "Correlating Surface Structures and Nanoscale Friction of CVD Multi-Layer Graphene"is accepted by the prestigious journal, Applied Surface Science.  (I.F.: 6.707) (top journal out of 21 journals in the research field of Materials Science, Coatings and Films)

12/4/2019 Congratulations! Dr. Kim was finally awarded the travel grant, "NRF Global Research Exchange Program of Basic Science", to support collaborative research with the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), USA. He will be funded $14K for a year to conduct his research about the development of a MoS2-based memristor device by selective defect patterning using the Helium Ion Microscopy (HIM) at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS) in the ORNL, USA.

12/2/2019 Dr. Kim gave an invited talk at the 2019 MRS Fall Meeting in Boston, USA. He presented the overview of "direct-write" focused electron/ion beam induced processing on engineering 2D nanomaterials and printing 3D nanoscale functional structures.

04/06/2019 Dr. Kim had an invited talk at the 21th KMEMS Conference about "Direct-Write Nanomanufacturing with Ultra-High Precision Using Focused Particle Beam Technologies". It was a very exciting and meaningful time to meet many experts on the micro/nano research fields in South Korea.
