AnswerArc AI — Question Solver is a Chrome extension that uses Google Gemini to answer questions found on webpages selected by the user.
AnswerArc AI may handle the following information when you use the extension:
Website content. When you explicitly choose a browser tab and click "Solve Question," AnswerArc AI reads visible text from that webpage, including question text and answer choices, so that the content can be analyzed by Google Gemini.
Browsing information. AnswerArc AI accesses the titles and URLs of currently open tabs so that you can choose the webpage you want to analyze. The title and URL of recently analyzed pages may be stored locally as part of the extension's recent-answer history.
Gemini API key. You provide your own Google Gemini API key. The key is stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API and is used to authenticate requests sent directly to Google's Gemini API.
Information accessed by AnswerArc AI is used only to provide the extension's question-solving functionality, remember your local settings, and display your recent answers.
AnswerArc AI does not sell user information, use it for advertising, create advertising profiles, determine creditworthiness, or use it for purposes unrelated to providing the extension's question-solving functionality.
When you click "Solve Question," relevant webpage text is transmitted over HTTPS directly to Google's Gemini API together with your Gemini API key so Google can generate the requested answer.
Use of information sent to Gemini is also subject to Google's applicable Gemini API terms and privacy practices.
AnswerArc AI does not operate an intermediary AI server and does not receive your Gemini API key or webpage question content on a developer-operated backend.
AnswerArc AI stores the following information locally in your Chrome profile:
Gemini API key
selected Gemini model
selected solver mode
up to five recent answer records, which may include the analyzed page title and URL
Users can clear their Gemini API key and recent-answer history from the extension interface.
AnswerArc AI does not sell user data.
Website content is transferred to Google only as necessary to provide the Gemini-powered question-solving feature requested by the user.
AnswerArc AI includes an optional external link to Buy Me a Coffee. No webpage question content or Gemini API key is intentionally transmitted to Buy Me a Coffee by the extension.
Requests to the Google Gemini API are transmitted using HTTPS. Authentication information is stored locally in the user's Chrome profile and is not intentionally disclosed publicly.
AnswerArc AI reads and sends webpage content to Gemini only when the user chooses a page and explicitly initiates the Solve Question function.
Users may clear their locally stored Gemini API key and recent-answer history at any time.
The use of information received through Chrome APIs by AnswerArc AI will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if AnswerArc AI's functionality or data practices change. Any material changes to data practices will be disclosed as required.
