Introduction
During the renaissance and baroque era the Netherlands consisted of the current countries Belgium and the Netherlands. Most lute composers however, lived a large part of their lives in Belgium with a few exception, most famous were: Adrian Willaert (1490 - 1562), Pierre Phalese (1519-1575), Joachim van den Hove (1567–1620), Nicholas Vallet (1583 – 1642) and Jacques de Saint Luc (1616 – 1710).
