"anonymous" access means that any users who aren't recognized by the NAS can access. Users that are recognized but who present the wrong password are denied. That sometimes causes issues if the user account exists on both the PC and the NAS, but have different passwords.

One thing to consider is whether you need to protect the files from being accessed on your local network or not. It is possible to set up your NAS so that anonymous access works on your home network, but account credentials are needed to access the NAS remotely.

Background and aims:  Some people are preoccupied with their sexual urges and fantasies and lose control over their sexual behaviors, which can cause adverse consequences for their health and well-being. One of the options available for individuals seeking treatment for compulsive sexual behavior disorder (CSBD) is a self-help group based on the twelve-step program. The main purpose of the current study was to examine the direct and indirect (through meaning in life and hope) relationships between involvement in Sexaholics Anonymous (SA) and life satisfaction.

Results:  Path analysis showed a direct positive relationship between SA involvement and life satisfaction. Moreover, the relationship between these variables was mediated by the presence of meaning in life and hope. Simultaneously, more severe symptoms of CSBD were related to lower levels of the presence of meaning in life and higher levels of the search for meaning in life, which, in turn, predicted lower levels of life satisfaction.

It is important to know the difference between the two, especially because you have a right to have your identity protected when you report government misconduct. Although we encourage all tipsters to be a confidential source so that we can follow up, you have the right to report anonymously if you choose to do so.

To keep sobriety as its primary purpose, AA in 1950 instituted the twelve traditions to ensure membership for anyone wishing to stop drinking, and to exhort that all memberships be kept anonymous, especially in public media, but when anonymity is broken, no repercussions are prescribed. The traditions also have AA avoiding hierarchies, dogma, public controversies and other outside entanglements as well as not acquiring property. Along with urging members to not use AA for material gain or public prestige, the traditions insist that no dues or fees are required, and to be self-supporting, no AA entity should accept outside financial aid.[14][15]

Because of the anonymous and voluntary nature of AA meetings, it has been difficult to perform random trials with them. Environmental and quasi-experiment studies suggest that AA can help alcoholics make positive changes.[105][106][107]

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), the increasingly popular mutual-help program for alcoholics, is often criticized for being just another substitute addiction, emphasizing "powerlessness" to already disenfranchised groups, being a religion or cult, adhering to a medical model of disease instead of a strengths perspective, and other such areas of concern to social workers. Many of these interpretations are based on viewing AA as an alternative treatment model or a rational service delivery model. This article addresses common critiques of AA by offering a way of understanding it as a "normative narrative community," where identity transformation takes place through the use of metaphor and storytelling. The article suggests alternative meanings of key metaphors, such as "powerlessness," describes areas of program strength and potential barriers for social workers, and reviews current research on AA effectiveness.

The current study is focused on life satisfaction and the exploration of the role that SA involvement and the severity of CSBD may play in it directly and indirectly (through meaning in life and hope). It should be mentioned in this context that in addiction studies, the severity of symptoms is often treated as an outcome variable. This is a characteristic feature of research adopting a pathology-oriented framework that focuses on objective treatment outcomes. By contrast, in this study, we applied a strengths-based approach and a long-term recovery-oriented framework, which emphasize the need to holistically take care of a person's well-being to build their recovery capital (Laudet et al., 2006; White & Kurtz, 2005). Such an approach is consistent with the assumptions of self-help groups based on the twelve-step program, which recognize and acknowledge the role of subjective well-being in the recovery process, not merely by defining recovery as maintaining abstinence but rather by treating it as a long-term process of transforming one's whole life, including spiritual restoration, finding meaning in life, and cherishing values (Helm, 2019). The need to expand the overarching recovery goal beyond abstinence to encompass personal change and improvements in quality of life is also emphasized by the members of self-help groups for CSBD (Fernandez et al., 2021).

Scarring can greatly impact quality of life for individuals (ie, causing depression posttraumatic stress disorder and body image issues). Those who wish to be anonymous live liver donors are warned of the potential negative psychological impacts associated with the large scar left from liver donation surgery. Given the unique degree of autonomy that these patients have over their surgery, we explore whether a sample of 26 anonymous live liver donors experience a unique relationship with their scar.

These findings help underscore the distinctiveness of anonymous living liver donors as a patient population. Preparing anonymous living liver donors for different types of cosmetic issues relating to their scar (ie, as a possible threat to their desired anonymity) may be more appropriate than preparing them in the same way as other donor populations.

While local classes are class declarations, anonymous classesare expressions, which means that you define the class in anotherexpression. The following example,HelloWorldAnonymousClasses, uses anonymous classes in the initialization statements of thelocal variables frenchGreeting and spanishGreeting, but uses a local class for theinitialization of the variable englishGreeting:

As mentioned previously, an anonymous class is an expression. The syntax of an anonymous class expression is like theinvocation of a constructor, except that there is a class definitioncontained in a block of code.

Because an anonymous classdefinition is an expression, it must be part of a statement. Inthis example, the anonymous class expression is part of thestatement that instantiates the frenchGreeting object. (Thisexplains why there is a semicolon after the closing brace.)

Like a nested class, a declaration of a type (such as a variable) in an anonymous class shadows any other declarations in the enclosing scope that have the same name. SeeShadowing for more information.

Consider the JavaFX example HelloWorld.java (from the section Hello World, JavaFX Style from Getting Started with JavaFX). Thissample creates a frame that contains a Say 'Hello World'button. The anonymous classexpression is highlighted:

In this example, the method invocation btn.setOnAction specifies what happens when you select the Say 'Hello World' button. This method requires an object of type EventHandler. The EventHandler interface contains only one method, handle. Instead of implementing this method with a new class, the example uses an anonymous class expression. Notice that this expression is the argument passed to the btn.setOnAction method.

Anonymous classes are ideal for implementing an interface that contains two or more methods. The following JavaFX example is from the section Customization of UI Controls. The highlighted code creates a text field that only accepts numeric values. It redefines the default implementation of the TextField class with an anonymous class by overriding the replaceText and replaceSelection methods inherited from the TextInputControl class.

Therefore, the firm ensures that the second team can only access the data in a form that makes it not possible to identify the individual couriers. It pseudonymises this data by replacing identifiers (names, job titles, location data and driving history) with a non-identifying equivalent such as a reference number which, on its own, has no meaning.

Reporters who intend to use material from anonymous sources must get approval from their news manager before sending the story to the desk. The manager is responsible for vetting the material and making sure it meets AP guidelines. The manager must know the identity of the source, and is obligated, like the reporter, to keep the source's identity confidential. Only after they are assured that the source material has been vetted by a manager should editors and producers allow it to be used.

We must not say that a person declined comment when that person the person is already quoted anonymously. And we should not attribute information to anonymous sources when it is obvious or well known. We should just state the information as fact.

Stories that use anonymous sources must carry a reporter's byline. If a reporter other than the bylined staffer contributes anonymous material to a story, that reporter should be given credit as a contributor to the story.

AP's basic rules for anonymous source material apply to material from other news outlets just as they do in our own reporting: The material must be factual and obtainable no other way. The story must be truly significant and newsworthy. Use of anonymous material must be authorized by a manager. The story we produce must be balanced, and comment must be sought. 2351a5e196
