If you've found your way here, I want to say welcome, and that I am so glad you found your way here.
I made this space to share a bit more about my research on adoption, identity, and belonging. However, what it turned into was something that I wanted to share for people like me, like us. I saw firsthand how being adopted could be so complicated, isolating, and sometimes too hard to put into words. If you've ever felt that way, or read through this site and found something that resonated with you, I want you to know that you're not the only one.
Right now, much of the research is focused on East Asian adoptees, and I realize that this is a small slice in the larger story of adoption. However, this project is built to, and in the process of, growing and expanding with new stories. These stories will allow for the incorporation of the experiences of transracial adoptees from other parts of the world, international or domestic, open or closed, or anything in between. I want to include so many more voices in this project, and yet I never seem to have enough time.
I've included some resources that might be helpful if you'd like to dive deeper, if you so choose. I also included a short interest form if you'd like to participate in my study or stay in the loop as I continue my research.
Honestly, though, even if you're just here to look around, I hope this site and my research make you feel a little less alone and a little more seen. And if at any point you'd like to share your story with me or talk, my inbox is always open for you.
With love,
