Kanpur Central Railway Station is located on the Delhi-Kolkata route and is well connected to major cities of India. The campus is located at a distance of about 16km from the station and is easily reachable via public transport. One can also hire taxis and autorickshaws to reach the campus. Candidates that are planning to come via airways are strongly recommended to fly into the Lucknow Airport (aka Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport) from where they can either take the intercity buses to reach the Kanpur bus station or hire outstation taxis directly to IIT Kanpur.
