As part of SEADS -a transdisciplinary and cross-cultural collective of artists, scientists, engineers and activists - I collaborated intensively on several projects, one of them being Biomodd [BRG-13].
The core idea of the Biomodd is the co-creation of experimental systems in which recycled computers and living ecosystems coexist and mutually reinforce one another. The recycled computers are connected into a network that runs a custom computer game. In this game, visitors, plants and other organisms interact in endlessly varying ways.
Role:
core-team built-up and organisation of the work spaceĀ
co-leading the initial workshops (de- and re-assembling hardware, building community participation)
main (spontaneously) "coordinator" of (wireless, ESP-32 connected) plant sensors and the user interaction of the installation
participating & doing what-is-needed (building wooden framework, documenting the system for the museum guards, acquiring hardware, storytelling on the project for visitors,...)
(also involvements in other SEADS projects, eg. others Biomodd-installations, Seeker, Engines of Eternity,...)
