e-textiles Swatchbook (2021)

Used in workshops by Gluon to an insight to participants in what you can do with "soft interfaces''. Has tips & tricks on materials and connectors.

Project together with artist Claire Williams.

Role:

• Designing 5 swatches for the book:

  • heart-sensor as clip-on ear-ring (+ coded)

  • snap-on microcontroller (+ coded)

  • printed conductive vinyl pattern with LED's and a 555 timer (+ coded)

  • flexible 3D print examples

  • soft buttons example

• Producing the basics of all the swatches (printing on textile)

• Conducting a Futures workshop with mainly "soft" prototyping material
