Moving 15 Forward

I worked with my fellow board members over the course of several years to develop and implement the "Moving 15 Forward" plan. This was a community-driven effort that has brought substantial improvements, these include:

• Revising school boundaries to create community schools. This also provided smooth transitions for students from elementary school, to middle school, to high school, and keeping friends together.

• We renovated all the District’s aging facilities, providing modern, safe environments for our students to learn in.

• We converted our Junior Highs to Middle Schools giving 6th graders more educational and extracurricular opportunities.

• We introduced full-day kindergarten, setting up our youngest learners for success.
