Hi! My name is Anna Parker, and I am the owner and creator of Anna's Botanicals. I was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, and I still live here now! Outside of floral preservation, I am an operating room nurse full-time. I work three 12-hour shifts per week, so I am only able to work on flower orders on my days off from nursing. I appreciate your patience and understanding!
So, you may be wondering...how did I get myself into this business? I got married in February, 2023. Throughout my wedding-planning process, I wondered what I was going to do with my bridal bouquet after my wedding. I was planning to go on my honeymoon the day after my wedding, so I knew that either I would have to preserve my bouquet from my bridal portraits, or I was going to need one of my family members to bring my bouquet to a floral preservation artist the morning after my ceremony. I ultimately decided, after a little bit of research and looking at inspiration on Pinterest, that I wanted to try to preserve my bridal portrait bouquet by myself. I asked my wedding florist to make an exact replica of my wedding-day bouquet for my bridal portraits so that I could preserve them. Then, I made a few trips to the craft store to gather supplies. Because I was so excited to see how it would turn out, I only left my bouquet in the drying medium for one week. Now, I leave all flowers to dry for four or more weeks. I have learned so much over the past few years of floral preservation, and I have met some of the sweetest people. I am so grateful for every single order that I receive and for every client who recommends me to a friend or family member!
My bouquet from wedding day to perfectly preserved forever!
