Anna's Awareness Initiative was created from the belief that no one should ever feel that they have to navigate mental health struggles alone.
What began as a personal passion for mental health advocacy has grown into an initiative reaching more than 7,500 people worldwide. AAI focuses on mental health education, stigma reduction, community advocacy, storytelling, and empowering individuals to create positive change in the spaces around them.
Our goal is not simply to tell people that mental health matters. We want to help people understand why it matters, how to talk about it, how to support others, and where to turn when additional support is needed.
By combining education with compassion and advocacy with action, Anna's Awareness Initiative hopes to contribute to a world where mental health is treated with the same understanding and importance as physical health.
EDUCATE: We provide accessible mental health education and resources that encourage understanding and challenge stigma.
ADVOCATE: We use campaigns, storytelling, and community outreach to encourage open and compassionate conversations about mental health.
CONNECT: We bring together advocates from communities around the world who share a commitment to mental health awareness and kindness.
EMPOWER: We give individuals tools and opportunities to create meaningful change in their schools, organizations, and communities.
You don't need to be an ambassador to make a difference. While AAI's Global Ambassador Program is not currently accepting new applications, there are still many ways to become part of our mission.
Whether you want to participate in an awareness campaign, explore and share our educational resources, bring mental health awareness into your school or community, or simply learn how to better support the people around you, there is a place for you here.
Making a difference doesn't require an official title, sometimes it simply starts with a conversation, a resource shared, or an act of kindness.
