Anna Sarkisyan, PhD, FHEA

I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Banking and Finance at Essex Business School, University of Essex.  I am an Academic Fellow at the Centre for Responsible Banking & Finance at the University of St Andrews and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). I have held visiting research and teaching positions at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School and ALBA Graduate Business School. In 2010, I was awarded a European Central Bank Lamfalussy Fellowship. 

My research is concentrated in the area of empirical banking and finance, with a particular focus on securitisation and corporate governance. I have published in the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Corporate Finance, European Journal of Finance, European Financial Management, and the European Central Bank Working Paper Series, among others. I have also contributed to the 2nd and 3rd editions of the Oxford Handbook of Banking.
