Assistant Front Office Manager
I met Annie Miller roughly three years ago when she was doing double duty in the Shula's restaurant located within my hotel. Annie was working sometimes as a hostess and sometimes as a server.
Each time I came into the restaurant I was impressed by her presence. She has a warm and approachable style and clearly stood out compared to the rest of the restaurant staff. She was professional and I would ask for her if I were entertaining clients as I knew she would represent the hotel well.
Selfishly, I wanted Annie to work for the hotel in a more impactful position as it relates to customer satisfaction and I asked my Director of Rooms and Director of Human resources to see if we could get Annie working at the front desk. We were successful at moving Annie to the front desk and she rapidly made a very positive impact on our guest satisfaction scores. She also picked up on systems and processes very quickly and became a star for us in her new role.
As time passed and opportunities presented themselves, we promoted Annie to a front desk supervisor where she continued to excel. I have even pursued her to move into a management role but given her school commitments, she wisely declined.
Annie is one of those rare people that you meet and are lucky enough to hire that will really make a positive difference for your organization. I have spent many years leading people in the customer service field and Annie's performance is right at the top with the best of the best.
I suspect that Annie will have a very successful career and go on to do great things in life. I believe if you have the opportunity to make her part of your organization, you should move quickly to secure her.
I certainly know that we will miss Annie as she goes on to realize her career aspirations. She has proven to be invaluable to our organization.
Please feel free to reach out to me directly if I can provide further input on Annie and the reasons why I believe you should hire her. You will not be disappointed!
