As a senior in high school, taking my second year of Engineering at the James Forest Career Center, I am thrilled to continue to explore the boundless world of engineering. Specifically, the realm of biomedical engineering piques my interest. As I partake in my college search I am looking to pursue a career where helping others not only survive but thrive throughout their everyday life.
The interest I have in biomedical engineering emanates from my curiosity about how lives can be improved through technology, and what effects that physical challenges may have on one's mental health. As well as the design of products for this issue are already made, I like to think about how some may be improved. This could include making them more efficient, and user-friendly, or solely making them more pleasing in appearance. This interest drove me to explore engineering.
As for the near future, I plan to further develop my foundational knowledge of engineering. I'm also interested in seeking out different aspects of product design through hands-on projects, and observations of others' projects.
My goal is to find a path in engineering that permits me to combine creativity with technical skills while improving the lives of others. Whether that is industrial design, electronics, or sustainable product development, I am open to determining where my talents and passion are best applied. I am excited and ready to continue learning and exploring to find my niche in the vast engineering world.
