During my time in college, I've reported on arts and culture, agriculture, health, business, criminal justice, state politics and breaking news. No matter the topic, I'm always looking beyond the immediate news lede to see the larger trend, the underreported angle or the real-world impact.
I have a particular interest in criminal justice, health and policy because of the profound ways journalists in these areas can help audiences navigate the increasingly complicated healthcare system and promote the free exercise of civil liberties.
