I had the most fun painting portraits for Duke University Business Master's program Spring Formal. Though many folks wanted their portraits done, it was a great test of getting into focus, producing quick work, and trying a new style.
Since working at Artspace and spending time with CoLab, I've wanted more reason to host, connect my friends, and network with more artists (or crafters alike)- so Craft night was born!
This has been an incredibly fulfilling event. I look forward to each event and having friends together.

Thanks to a friend of mine with a private studio I was able to help facilitate my first figure drawing class. I helped create our model contact list, our rules, our Know before you go Guide, and our email messaging.
Our primary marketing is word of mouth, but we have a new Instagram, some posts live on INDY week, and a few more things up our sleeves! Hopefully, we can keep this going for a while!

I’m excited to say, I have officially joined the Artspace team as their Front Desk Coordinator!
I’ll be helping to create an exceptional visitor experience by greeting guests, implementing accessibility protocols, assisting with administrative tasks, and coordinating event rentals. I’m thrilled to be a part of an organization that is dedicated to empowering artists and creating unique gallery experiences. I look forward to contributing to Artspace’s mission of fostering creativity and engaging the public in meaningful ways.

I volunteered with ArtSpace, a nonprofit art gallery that supports resident artists and makes a significant impact through community engagement, educational programs, and outreach initiatives. During their annual event, which featured a variety of exhibits, I assisted by handling and packaging art, including works donated by artists.
My role involved wrapping art, moving it across the auction stage, and ensuring proper handling. It was a really lovely opportunity to be part of such a vibrant and impactful event.

Having been involved and interested in the Raleigh art market scene for a while, I’ve learned a lot from other artists (shout out Instagram @garlicbeard) firsthand how to run a market booth.
I wanted to use this knowledge to sell my own work, where I showcased a variety of items including bones, over 100 handmade prints, jewelry, metalwork, and flower bouquets.
While I didn’t break even, I was happy to make some sales, spend some time with my friend Pake, meet some great people, and gain insight into the local art market scene.
10/10. I'd love to do it again.

I volunteered as a docent at the North Carolina Museum of Art for an exhibit titled, Venice and the Ottoman Empire, which focused on the cultural and artistic intersection between the Venetian art movement and the Ottoman Empire. The exhibit, hosted during the museum’s college night, explored themes such as trade, wars, alliances, and cultural identities. My role involved learning about two specific portraits featured in the exhibit, greeting visitors, and engaging them in conversation by asking both approachable and thought-provoking questions. I enjoyed helping attendees connect more with the artworks, hear new perspectives, and offer context to the historical and cultural narratives.

I was honored to be named Artspace’s “Ambassador of the Month” for my work as a volunteer.
In this role, I greeted visitors, poured wine, and assisted with art classes for children and families. I enjoyed getting to know the community, the staff, engaging with guests, and helping create a welcoming environment. It was a rewarding experience that allowed me to contribute to Artspace's vibrant atmosphere while supporting its mission of bringing art and people together.
