Rewinder is a game made with Unity by a team of 6 people.
It is a "time limited first person parkour game" in which you have the ability to go back in time.
As a player, you will move freely in an ever moving abstract world.
You'll have to find a way to escape from it.
The levels are all in constant motion, you'd feel like you're are in a prison, and something huge is preventing you from escaping.
I worked as a Game Designer, Art Director, 3D artist, Animator, Narrative Designer and Vfx Artist, creating a lot of different abstract environments for the game.
As an Art Director I had the first and final say in every graphic decision we made, while working with 3 others artists.
We started the creative process behind the game early on, knowing that the graphism would end up playing a big part in the final project.
For this matter, we focused our researches on creating an interesting abstract concept, that granted us an artistic freedom while thinking about how Rewinder works.
In order to apprehend the world we wanted to create, I personally started at an early stage to test several blender simulations. It allowed us to make paint-overs and quickly sketch ideas.
