I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Economics at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. I completed my PhD in August 2023 at the Georg August University of Goettingen. Following my doctoral studies, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the project Modblock, funded by the BMBF (German Federal Ministry of Education and Research). You can find my CV here.
My research interests lie broadly in Empricial Labor Economics, with a specific focus on Migration, Education, and Gender Economics. My work revolves around the crucial roles of gender and the household/family context in shaping individual decisions regarding language acquisition, international migration, and labor market participation. I am particularly interested in how institutional factors like primary schooling and early childhood care affect mothers' labor market outcomes, the gender pay and pension gap and gender division of labor and financial decision-making within the household.
I am on the 2025/26 Job Market!
