The objective of our research group is to develop new catalysts with enhanced physical properties and activity. We are looking for development of new techniques for synthesis of various homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, structural characterization, thermodynamics and self-assembly, and development of structure-property relationships.
Research projects are focused on the following areas:
Sustainable development of multi-functional catalyst derived from renewable resources (Bagasse, Chitosan etc.)
Synthesis of Mixed metal oxides based heterogeneous catalysts
Advanced materials for catalysis
Application of synthesized catalysts in gas and liquid phase reactions like Hydrogenation, Oxidation, Isomerization, Hydroformylation, Cascade reactions
Utilization of Carbon dioxide (CO2) for synthesis of fine chemicals (Formic acid, Acetic acid, Methanol)
