Module 1: Building blocks of a communication system, Recap of Signals and Spectra, Amplitude modulation and demodulation, Angle modulation and demodulation, Phase locked loops.
Module 2: Random variables and processes, Noise in communication systems, Signal reception under noise
Module 3: Pulse modulation, Sampling and A/D conversion, Principles of Digital communication, Digital Modulation, Transmission, and Reception
Module 4: Introduction to Information theory, Error-control codes
