Brief Biography
I am Ankur Gogoi, a researcher in social choice theory, computational social choice, and economic theory, with a particular interest in the mathematical foundations of collective decision-making and democratic institutions. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics, my research explores Liquid Democracy, axiomatic characterization, voting theory, mechanism design, political economy, fair division, and strategic decision-making. I use game-theoretic, axiomatic, mathematical, and computational approaches to study fundamental problems in elections and collective choice, including voting power, strategic manipulation, robustness, and the design of decision-making mechanisms. I also work on election data analysis and computational social choice, developing Python-based computational methods to analyze election outcomes and test theoretical models for specific electoral settings. My broader research interests include the interface between social choice, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging computational approaches to democratic decision-making.
