Brief Biography

Hi, I'm Ankur Gogoi, a researcher driven by deep curiosity about how groups of people make collective decisions and how different systems of choice shape outcomes. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D.  My research interests lie in various aspects of Social Choice Theory, such as Voting Theory, Political Economy, Mechanism Design, Logic, and Philosophy, while drawing insights from related fields. I am particularly interested in foundational questions concerning strategic manipulation by candidates (a rare phenomenon) in voting systems, justice in diversity, and the compromise of excellence in the Committee Selection Problem, exploring how these principles influence the way societies organize themselves.

Guided by a belief in inclusive, transparent, and equitable decision-making, I strive to contribute to a more just understanding of collective choice. I welcome opportunities for collaboration and dialogue.
