I am from Serampore, a city in the district Hooghly, of the state West Bengal, India. 

I have studied in Mahesh Sri Ramkrisha Ashram, Rishra (up to X th) followed by Chadernagore Kanailal Vidyamandir, Chandannagar (XII th). I have completed my graduation (B.E. in Mechanical Engineering) from Jadavpur University. I received my post gradation (MS by research) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, followed by PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. 

Presently, I am working as Assistant Professor at GITAM Hyderabad. Prior to to this I was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland. I also had postdoc experience from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
