About me

I was born in Jamshedpur, a steel city in India, and grew up in my hometown (Chaibasa) close to it. At the age of 16, I moved to Kota located in the southeast of the northern Indian state of Rajasthan for my higher secondary schooling. This experience came with endless challenges and taught me tenacity. I traveled 1500km+ alone for the first time (yayy!).

For my undergraduate degree, I moved to Shivaji University, Maharashtra in India. I completed my bachelor's in Electronics and telecommunications with a minor in business analytics.

During my undergraduate studies, I mostly enjoyed my time outside the classroom in the library, events, badminton court, teaching underprivileged children in schools, and exploring new places.

During my postgraduate studies in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning, I enjoyed my time in the classroom, networking, researching, exploring, and publishing my research work at ACL 2021. During my exploration phase, I worked on my startup idea. I worked as a software engineer intern, worked on a research collaboration with Microsoft Research under Dr Monojit Choudhury and eventually found my passion in NLP.

I love looking back at a few of my experiences...

Received travel grant and conference funding to attend Global Student Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Back story remains the same..

First travel outside the home country exposed me to work with participants from diverse cultural background

Granted accolades for state level badminton competitions

Completed 10 days of intensive Vipassana meditation (you can spot me in 5th position from left)
