Ankita has performed at various prestigious festivals in India and abroad. She has performed and organised cultural festivals abroad, in collaboration with the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indian Cultural Centre, High Commission of India and Jawaharlal Nehru Indian Cultural Centre, respectively. She has been honoured with innumerable awards till date. Her roots from Odisha have enabled her to understand the nuances of Odissi in much depth. Along with performing the traditional choreographies, she also works towards using classical dance as a medium for initiating conversations on various social issues such as mental health, gender equality etc, and even collaborates with relevant organisations.

Ankita has completed her M.Sc. Development Communication & Extension from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, being an ardent student of such an exuberant subject she aims to take forward her artistic passion Odissi as a medium for Social Change. Her constant arduous efforts have been recognised by eminent organisations such as Rotary Club of Delhi, YWCA along with her own Lady Irwin College, and as a result she is a proud recipient of many scholarships in academics and cultural activities.

Apart from being a disciplined performer, she has also been invited to adjudge various inter school, district and Inter college level competitions. Expressing the humility and kindness that her art form has been able to imbibe in her, she imparts Odissi training to underprivileged children, in collaboration with an NGO in New Delhi. Adding another gem to her already studded crown, Ankita has been functioning as the Assistant Festival director at Debadhara, Delhi since the past many years. Her vision is to nudge minds to become more culturally aware and sensitive. She truly perpetuates the belief that art as it is, is all around us, one has to just absorb the learnings and look at things from a unique perspective. With this zeal in her mind, she goes on to perform & mentor students of different age groups in Delhi to impart the practical & theoretical nuances of Odissi dance, which has helped her discover herself and form newer perceptions. She aims to take the legacy of Odissi dance forward by sharing and representing this art form, globally.
