I’m a writer, researcher and communications strategist based in Mumbai, India, with over a decade of experience spanning journalism, social impact communications and narrative building. I began my career in mainstream newsrooms, working with Mumbai Mirror, DNA and Hindustan Times, where I reported on people, institutions and public policy, with a particular focus on education and access. That experience continues to shape how I work today: with curiosity, a strong grounding in lived realities, and a belief in the power of stories to make complex issues visible and understood.

Over the years, my work has moved towards climate, gender, livelihoods and community-led development, where I use storytelling, research, writing and communications strategy to help bring bottom-up perspectives into larger conversations. I’m particularly interested in how narratives can do more than communicate—they can shift perceptions, build agency and contribute to change on the ground. I currently work as a Manager with Rebuild India Fund, Dasra, focusing on communications, storytelling and thought leadership around India’s grassroots development ecosystem.

Alongside my professional work, I am pursuing a PhD in Political Sociology at the Department of Civics and Politics, University of Mumbai, where my research explores intersectionality and social stratification. I have also taught qualitative research methods, journalism practice and media ethics as a visiting faculty member. Across these different spaces, I continue to explore the intersections of research, writing, journalism, climate and social change—and how we can create narratives that are rooted in the ground while contributing to wider systems change.
