Dr. Ankit Kumar Yadav is working as an Assistant Professor in the sustainability cluster of the School of Advanced Engineering at UPES Dehradun. He previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School (2022-2023), and at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay (2021-2022). He received his Doctorate, Masters and Graduate degrees in Civil Engineering from IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee in 2021, 2017 and 2015, respectively. His doctoral work investigated the influence of alcohol on driving behaviour, which was a first-of-its-kind study on Indian drivers. During Ph.D., he spent a summer at Hokkaido University, Japan to attend the International Research Skills Program for Developing Sustainable Transportation System and Infrastructure (STSI). His research articles have appeared in high-quality international journals such as Accident Analysis and Prevention, Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour, Journal of Safety Research, Travel Behaviour and Society, Safety Science, Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Drug and Alcohol Dependence, and Traffic Injury Prevention. Due to their strong contributions to society, his research findings have been covered by various media houses including Hindustan Times, India Today and NDTV.
