Assitant Professor
Dr. Anjil Kumar Srivastava is a biochemist and plant molecular biologist by training whose research focuses on protein and RNA modifications and their roles in regulating plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. He earned his Ph.D. in Botany from Purvanchal University and subsequently held research positions at Durham University and the University of Dundee, United Kingdom.
Dr. Srivastava was awarded with DST- Fast Track Young Scientist project as a Principal Investigator in 2011 from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (West Bengal), India and DBT Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship in 2016 and 2020 also. His research has significantly advanced the understanding of SUMOylation (a post-translational modification) and its significance in plant biotic and abiotic stress responses. He has authored numerous publications in leading journals including Science, Nature Communications, PNAS, Current Biology, Plant Cell Plant Physiology, Plant Journal and many others.
