Work and Volunteer Experience

MAY 2025 – Present

Working on developing inertial navigation sensors and clocks using cold-atom technology, and integrating microcontrollers and field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) with cold-atom sensors.

Also working on creating control routines for experimental use.

JUNE 2024 - PRESENT
Working on creating STEM opportunities for grade school students across New Mexico. I help coordinate and lead the annual FIRST Lego League Albuquerque Qualifying Tournament for elementary and middle school students, and have led multiple FIRST robotics outreach events at schools across Bernalillo County. Other work includes creating partnerships with local companies and beneficiaries to fund our ventures, as well as with schools in rural communities in New Mexico.

APRIL 2023 – PRESENT
Led the New Mexico Middle School and High School Youth and Government 2025 conferences, and was tasked with ensuring the state conference and other activities ran smoothly. Specifically tasked with creating an example bill for delegates to follow, empowering delegates to actively participate in structural debate, allowing for effective civic engagement, especially in democratic processes.

MARCH 2024 - PRESENT
Participated in various STEM outreach events hosted by the Air Force Research Labs, including rocket launches for schools across New Mexico, as well as volunteering in events designed to spark STEM interest in children in New Mexico, such as the Mission to Mars events. 

JULY 2024
Learned and applied concepts and applications of Quantum Computing, Mathematics, and Physics to real-world problems through project-based learning. Led introductory research on using Quantum Computing and Machine Learning to discover average ground states of Hydrogen-2 molecules.

AUGUST 2024 - JANUARY 2025
In an after-school program, I worked with students from 6th through 11th grade, helping to teach supplemental math and physics concepts to solidify their understanding of concepts. I also worked with other student tutors to help students synthesize material they learned in class.

JUNE 2023 - PRESENT
Co-founder of the Open Scholars organization, an institution committed to helping young scholars in need. Tasked with funding, project management, and organization of various projects the institution embarks on. Completed two community enhancement projects as of February 2024.

JANUARY 2022 – MAY 2023
Volunteered and taught others about STEM and scientific concepts, particularly younger children, while also simultaneously learning scientific concepts. Also assisted with managing several museum events.
