Reduction of certain two-body problems to two one-body problems (extract from Quantum Chemistry by Levine). In the context of our course, this reduction is useful for mapping the vibration of a diatomic molecule to a simple harmonic oscillator, the rigid rotor to a particle on a sphere, and the hydrogen atom to the rotation of a particle around a fixed point.
Solve all the 7 problems on complex numbers in Section 1.6 of the course notes of Mathematics for Quantum Physics. Due by Jan 8, 2025.
Postulate 5, Particle in a 1-D box, Symmetry and Quantum Mechanics. Due by Jan 22, 2025
