ABOUT

I am an experimental physicist working in the fields of high-power laser systems and nonlinear optics with structured light optical beams. Below is a brief summary of my previous experience, along with more detailed information on my LinkedIn profile and CV. 

• In 2014, I graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics from Barasat Govt. College (under West Bengal State University, India).

• I enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India, to pursue my Master's in Physics from 2014 to 2016. For my Master's project, I worked on the fabrication of an MOS capacitor and studied its Gate-dielectric reliability under the supervision of Dr Rajendra Singh in the Department of Physics, IIT Delhi, and Prof. Sudhir Chandra in the Department of Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE), IIT Delhi. 

• In 2016, I have been employed by the Physical Research Laboratory, India, as a scientific assistant. I work on high-power lasers, nonlinear optics, quantum optics, and structured light optical beams there.

• In 2020 I received the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship to pursue my PhD in Photonics at the University of Stuttgart Germany. The project is named "GREAT" - Grating Reflectors Enabled Laser Applications and Training", however, I had to drop the plan due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

• In 2021, I have been promoted to the Senior Scientific Assistant A by PRL Ahmedabad.

• In 2023, along with my current position at PRL, I registered for my PhD in the same field at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. or my PhD work, I am working under the supervision of Prof. Goutam K. Samanta in PRL Ahmedabad.

Beyond science, I like cooking Bengali dishes, running, playing table tennis,​​ and football 😃
