Anime Grid ("Anime Grid," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information Anime Grid accesses, how that information is used, when information may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Process

Anime Grid is designed to store most game information directly on your device rather than on developer-operated servers.

Player Profile and Game Progress

The App may store information you choose to provide or generate while playing, including:

• Player nickname

• Profile image selected by you

• Experience points and player level

• Wins, losses, and draws

• Rival-specific wins and Bond progress

• Coins and Crystals

• Achievements

• Unlocked and selected cosmetics

• Selected board themes

• Selected X/O effects

• Selected pet referee

• Game and accessibility settings

• Previously processed in-app purchase identifiers

This information is primarily stored locally within the App's private storage on your device.

We do not currently operate a central Anime Grid account system or cloud database containing your player profile.

Profile Images

Anime Grid allows you to optionally select an image from your device for use as your profile picture.

When you select an image:

• Anime Grid accesses only the image you choose.

• A copy is stored in the App's private local storage.

• The profile picture is not uploaded to an Anime Grid server.

• Your profile picture is not transmitted to nearby multiplayer opponents under the current multiplayer protocol.

You can remove your selected profile picture from the profile settings in the App.

2. Nearby Multiplayer

Anime Grid supports nearby multiplayer through Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi.

When you voluntarily start or join a nearby multiplayer match, participating devices may directly exchange information necessary to establish and play the match, including:

• Player nickname

• Player level

• Selected profile frame

• Selected pet referee

• Selected X/O effect

• Match settings

• Board theme information

• Game moves

• Board state

• Match score

• Connection and synchronization information

This information is exchanged directly between participating devices for the purpose of providing multiplayer gameplay. It is not routed through an Anime Grid developer-operated game server.

Other players in a nearby match may therefore see information such as your chosen nickname, player level, and selected cosmetics.

3. Bluetooth and Nearby Device Permissions

Anime Grid may request Bluetooth or Nearby Devices permissions so that it can discover, connect to, host, and communicate with other nearby devices.

On Android 12 and later, Anime Grid uses Android's Nearby Devices permissions for Bluetooth functionality.

On Android 11 and earlier, Android may require the Fine Location permission as part of Bluetooth device discovery. Anime Grid does not use this permission to track your physical location, build a location history, or collect GPS coordinates.

Any location-related permission requested for older Android versions is used only as required by the Android Bluetooth discovery system.

4. Local Wi-Fi

Anime Grid may use your local Wi-Fi network or hotspot to locate and communicate with another device participating in a multiplayer match.

This may involve temporary processing of local network information such as:

• Local IP addresses

• Host information

• Port information

• Local network discovery information

This information is used to establish the nearby game connection and is not sent to an Anime Grid developer-operated server.

5. In-App Purchases

Anime Grid may offer digital items such as Crystals or cosmetic content through Google Play Billing.

Payments are processed by Google Play.

Anime Grid does not receive or store your:

• Credit card number

• Debit card number

• Bank account information

• Full billing credentials

Google Play handles payment information according to Google's own terms and privacy practices.

Anime Grid may receive limited purchase-related information from Google Play, such as:

• Purchased product identifier

• Purchase status

• Purchase token

The App may store a processed purchase token locally to prevent the same purchase from granting in-game currency more than once.

Google explains that payment information handled directly by Google Play Billing does not need to be treated as payment information collected by the app when the app itself never accesses that information.

6. Information We Do Not Currently Collect

The current version of Anime Grid does not contain developer-operated:

• Advertising

• Advertising SDKs

• Behavioral advertising

• Google Analytics

• Firebase Analytics

• Crashlytics

• User tracking

• Location tracking

• Contact collection

• Email-account collection

• Phone-number collection

• Social-media tracking

• Central player accounts

• Developer-controlled cloud profile storage

If these practices change in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety disclosure will be updated accordingly.

7. How We Use Information

Information processed by Anime Grid is used only as necessary to provide and improve App functionality, including:

• Saving game progress

• Displaying your player profile

• Managing game settings

• Unlocking rivals and achievements

• Tracking rival Bond progression

• Applying cosmetics

• Providing nearby multiplayer

• Synchronizing multiplayer matches

• Processing in-app purchase entitlements

• Preventing duplicate purchase rewards

• Operating Bluetooth and local-network connections

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Sharing of Information

Anime Grid does not currently sell personal information or transmit player profiles to an Anime Grid advertising or analytics service.

Information may be transferred in the following situations:

Nearby multiplayer: Information required for the match may be sent directly to the other player's device when you intentionally start or join a multiplayer match.

Google Play: Purchase-related processing is performed through Google Play Billing.

Legal requirements: If we are legally required to disclose information that is actually within our possession, we may do so to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Because Anime Grid currently does not maintain a centralized player database, we generally do not possess copies of locally stored player profiles or gameplay histories.

Google Play treats certain transfers initiated and reasonably expected by the user differently from ordinary third-party data sharing for its Data Safety disclosure, although the transfer should still be transparently explained to users.

9. Data Storage and Retention

Most Anime Grid data is stored locally on your device.

Game progress and preferences generally remain on the device until you:

• Clear Anime Grid's application storage;

• Remove specific content using an available in-app option; or

• Uninstall the App.

A selected profile photo can be removed within Anime Grid.

Purchase-related records maintained by Google are controlled by Google under its own policies.

Android may also back up some locally stored application data when device or Google-account backup features are enabled. Such backups are controlled by Android and your device/account settings rather than by an Anime Grid server.

10. Deleting Your Data

Anime Grid does not currently require creation of an online account.

You can remove locally stored information by:

• Removing your profile image from Anime Grid;

• Clearing Anime Grid's storage through Android system settings; or

• Uninstalling Anime Grid.

Because no Anime Grid cloud account is currently created, there is no separate server-side Anime Grid account that needs to be deleted.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to limit access to information processed by Anime Grid.

Profile information, game progress, and selected profile images are stored using application-private device storage.

Nearby multiplayer is initiated by the user and communicates with another nearby device through Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Third-Party Services

Anime Grid currently uses Google Play services for functionality including in-app purchases.

Google may process information independently according to Google's privacy policies and terms.

Anime Grid does not control Google's data-handling practices.

13. International Users

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights relating to personal information.

Because most Anime Grid player data is stored locally and is not held in a developer-operated database, many privacy choices can be exercised directly by deleting the relevant data from your device.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Anime Grid's features, technologies, legal requirements, or data practices change.

When we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
