An original anime series based on the PlayStation game Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is being developed by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music, and PlayStation Productions, set to premiere in 2027. Directed by Takanobu Mizuno and with story composition by Gen Urobuchi, the series will be animated by Kamikaze Douga. The anime promises a bold new experience for fans, drawing from the game's rich world and its Japanese mythology-based Legends mode. Rahul Purini from Crunchyroll and Asad Qizilbash from PlayStation noted the exciting potential of this adaptation. Meanwhile, a Ghost of Tsushima movie directed by Chad Stahelski of the John Wick series is also in the works. Additionally, Sucker Punch Productions is developing a sequel to the original game, Ghost of Yotei, scheduled for release in 2025 on PS5.
