HELEN MARVELL:

Hello, I'm Helen. I'm from England but I've been living in Japan for over 5 years.

I started volunteering with Animal Walk Tokyo in 2014, and I'm mainly involved in promotion, blogs, and organizing events.

Outside of AWT, I am also a volunteer for The Humane League and Animal Advocacy Japan.

I volunteer because I love animals (even sharks and slugs) and they need protecting, because without them, there would be no world and therefore, no us!

Aside from my volunteer activities, I am part of the typical salaryman rat race (think unpaid overtime and having the back of your head used as an iPad holder on the rush-hour train) working at a PR company in Tokyo.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, eating vegan food, watching trash TV and documentaries, and hanging out with my tiny chihuahua Matilda, who I adopted from Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK).

KATRINA LARSEN:

I have been with Animal Walk Tokyo almost (almost, but not quite!) since we formed in 2010. I have been involved in many aspects of running the group, namely event organisation and regular posts on our page. Also, I maintain the Trap Neuter and Release (TNR) document that we regularly share.

Remember, neutering just one animal can save a lot of misery!

My involvement with animal welfare and animal rights goes back further than I care to mention, both in Japan and back in Australia. Apart from being involved with AWT I also ran the Tokyo Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) Meetup Group (now closed) and am an admin on the Animal Advocacy Japan (AAJ) page.

When I am not working hard for my “employers”, the animals, I enjoy dabbling in a little Hawaiian dancing, travelling, reading, working on my below standard Japanese and discovering vegan food.

私の名前はヘレンです。出身はイギリスで、日本に住んで5年以上が経ちます。

2014年からアニマルウォーク東京（AWT）でボランティアを始め、主にグループの宣伝やブログ更新、イベント企画を担当しています。AWT以外では、The Humane LeagueとAnimal Advocacy Japanでもボランティアをしています。

私がボランティアをしている理由は、動物が好きだからです。サメやナメクジだって好きです。彼らがいなければこの世界は存在しないですし、この世界がなければ、私たちも存在しません！彼らは守られるべき存在なのです。

ボランティア以外では、私は都内のPR会社で働く典型的なサラリーマンとして、激しい出世競争（サービス残業や、通勤ラッシュ時の電車で、頭をiPadの枕代わりにされたり）の中で生活しています。

趣味は旅行、ヴィーガン料理を食べること、俗悪なテレビ番組やドキュメンタリー鑑賞、そしてAnimal Refuge Kansai (ARK)から引き取った、小さなチワワのマチルダと遊ぶことです。

カトリーナ・ラーソン:

私はアニマルウォーク東京（AWT)には、2010年AWTが設立されるとき(ほぼその頃から!）から関わっています。AWTではイベントの企画運営、facebookの更新などさまざまな面で関わっております。またAWTのページで定期的にシェアするTNR(捕獲し、去勢／避妊しリリースする: Trap Neuter and Release)のリストの作成と管理をしています。

一匹の猫の避妊処置をすることで、多くの動物が救えるのです！

私の日本、オーストラリ_アでの動物福祉／権利の活動は、長い歴史があります。 AWTのほか、 東京アーク（ARK）のMeetupグループ（現在はクローズしています）の運営もしていました。現在はアニマル・アドボカシー・ジャパン (AAJ)のアドミニストレーターをしております。

本業以外での”雇用主”(つまり動物たちになりますが)のために働いていないときは、フラダンス、旅行、読書、日本語の勉強とビーガンフードの探求に時間を使います。
