Animaloop (“the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App on Meta Quest devices.
Animaloop does not collect personal information from your gameplay for the developer or transmit it to the developer’s servers.
The App does not collect account information or personal identifiers for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
Certain information is processed locally on your device to provide the App’s features:
Microphone recordings: If you grant microphone permission and choose to record a sound, the App records audio for use as a playable sound in your music creations. Recordings are saved locally on your device and are not uploaded or shared by the App.
Saved music and settings: Music arrangements, recording slots, and preferences are stored locally so you can continue using them in later sessions.
Tracking information: Headset, controller, and hand-tracking information is processed during gameplay to support movement, gestures, and interactions. The App does not retain tracking histories or transmit this information to the developer.
Mixed reality: The App uses the Meta Quest system’s passthrough functionality to display your surroundings in mixed reality mode. The App does not record or upload passthrough imagery.
Information processed by the App is used solely to provide its gameplay features, including sound recording, music playback, saving creations, and VR/MR interactions.
We do not use this information for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Microphone access is optional and is used only when you choose to record a sound.
You can use the App’s built-in animal sounds without granting microphone permission. You may revoke microphone permission at any time through your Meta Quest device settings.
Recordings remain on your device until you delete or overwrite them, or remove the App’s local data.
The App stores recordings, saved music, and settings locally on your device. The developer does not maintain external servers containing this data and cannot access your locally saved content.
You can delete or overwrite recordings within the App. To remove all locally stored App data, use your device’s app-data removal options, where available, or uninstall the App.
Any backup or restoration performed independently by the Meta Quest platform is governed by Meta’s settings and policies. If a platform backup exists, removing local App data may not remove that backup.
Animaloop does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services to collect information from your gameplay.
We do not sell, rent, or share your recordings, saved music, or tracking information.
Meta independently operates the Meta Quest platform, including store purchases, device services, and system-level recording or sharing features. Your use of those services is governed by Meta’s own privacy policies.
Animaloop does not include multiplayer features, in-app social interactions, or user-to-user communication.
If you choose to record or share gameplay using Meta Quest system features or another service, that recording or sharing is handled by the service you choose and is subject to its privacy policy.
Animaloop does not collect children’s personal information for the developer or use it for advertising or tracking.
Optional microphone recordings, including recordings that may contain a child’s voice, are processed and stored locally as described above. Parents and guardians can manage microphone permission through device settings and remove locally saved recordings.
Because the developer does not receive your locally stored App data, we cannot access, retrieve, or delete it remotely. You can manage that data using the options described in Section 4.
If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and handle your request, and retain it only as necessary for those purposes or as required by law.
