History

The Animal Welfare Party was founded on July 6, 2021, in Lavinia, Tennessee. We were inspired by Party for the Animals in the Netherlands and the Animal Welfare Party of the United Kingdom. Electorally we were inspired by the Working Families Party and the Democratic Socialists of America who endorse candidates to achieve their political aims.

The official party color is pink #ff728a and our logo is a cat with the initials AWP on it.
