This eTwinning project is designed for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, aged 8-12 years, who learn English as a foreign language in European countries and it is related to the sixth unit, "The Animal World“ of our English coursebook in Croatia.
In this project the students from several European schools will collaborate on the topic of animals. They will brainstorm vocabulary related to the animal world and they will express their ideas as to what animals means to them in their everyday life. Moreover, they will learn about animals' habitats, describing their appearance and abilities.
Throughout the project, the students will work in mixed groups and will use IT tools in order to communicate and collaborate. The project will be presented to the rest of both school communities during a final celebration in May.
Teachers and students will create a joint document using online tools. The project will be conducted in English, which will enrich children’s vocabulary related to animals, and it also blends with Geography, Biology and Science.
The main objective of the project is to communicate with partner schools across Europe, share information and learn.
